PREGNANT, NOW WHAT?

If you are sexually active, pregnancy is a possibility. While using "protection" can lower the chances of pregnancy and STIs, it does not eliminate the risks entirely. Below are some common signs of pregnancy; however, please keep in mind that other medical conditions may also lead to similar symptoms.

PREGNANCY SYMPTOM

Missed Menstrual Cycle, Tender, Swollen, or Sensitive Breasts,

Increased Fatigue or Unusual TirednessNausea or Morning Sickness, Lightheadedness , Headaches, Increased Urination

HOW FAR ALONG AM I?

How Far Along Am I? Ovulation usually occurs in the middle of a 28-day cycle - about 14 days after the first day of a woman’s last period. (Many women have more or fewer than 28 days in their cycle or may ovulate at a time different than this 14-day average.) If you were sexually active around the time of ovulation, it’s possible to become pregnant. While only medical doctors can diagnose pregnancy, we can help estimate how far along you may be.

WHAT'S MY NEXT STEP?

  • PREGNANCY TEST—If you're worried about the possibility of pregnancy and need guidance on the next steps, we offer free pregnancy tests and ultrasound referrals. Please get in touch with us for an appointment.

  • CONSULTATION - If you wish to discuss your situation privately, book an appointment with us for support.

  • ULTRASOUND—An ultrasound is a crucial next step. If your pregnancy test at LIFEBRIDGE is positive, we can refer you to one of our Doctors for a complimentary ultrasound to learn more about your pregnancy, including its gestational age.

  • STI/STD TESTING - If you've engaged in sexual activities that involve skin-to-skin contact, you may be at risk. Many STIs/STDs can be asymptomatic or have symptoms that can easily be overlooked. Remember, unprotected sex equals testing every time.

  • ABORTION - I have inquiries regarding what an abortion entails; an option Consultant will be happy to meet with you.
